Remembering France’s Exhilarating World Cup Win in July 2018

Almost two years ago exactly, when France won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, I was lucky enough to be vacationing in Paris. It was the French National Team’s second-ever World Cup victory, and the French were rightfully ecstatic! French people exploded with pride all around the country, but there were especially grandiose festivities in the capital. These memories of a jubilant, pre-COVID-19 France remind me of just how meaningful it can be to come together with others in celebration.

While reflecting on France’s triumph makes me wistful for crowded Parisian streets, communal face paint, and high-fives from strangers, it also helps me to keep in mind all we can look forward to experiencing if we responsibly deal with the current pandemic. Join us in remembering France’s historic World Cup win through a few photos I took in Paris on July 15th, 2018.

I hope you enjoyed reminiscing with us and that you are all staying healthy as we hope for better times ahead. As always, if you have any questions, leave us a comment!
