Best Cheap Fast Food Restaurants for Students in Reims, France
In a country famous for its gourmet dishes, delicious cheeses, fancy pastries, and regional specialties, amazing food is always just around the corner. Living in France as a student is, of course, an opportunity to take part in this iconic category of French culture. However, students in France, much like students all around the world, also love cheap, convenient, food. While fast food isn’t something we partake in daily, the sanitary situation has kept many sit-down restaurants closed to the public for months. Therefore, Jalen and I have tried a few fast food restaurants in Reims and picked our favorites to recommend to you.
Read on for cheap eats that anyone on a budget will enjoy in the beautiful city of Reims!
Made in Pizza
Made in Pizza is classic student food. Whether you’re in the mood for pizza, fries, french tacos, or a sandwich, you can get it here for super cheap! Our favorite part about this restaurant is that they offer free delivery.
Jalen’s recommendation: Ailes de poulet
Maria’s recommendation: Pizza “Marguerita“
Sushi Shop
Sushi Shop is a chain restaurant that offers everything from sashimi to poke bowls to themed sushi platters. Though it’s far from authentic Japanese food, we love this restaurant’s wide variety of unique menu items.
Jalen’s recommendation: Maki Thon Spicy
Maria’s recommendation: Sashimi Saumon
Let’s Sandwich
Let’s Sandwich offers an “American-inspired” menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and paninis. They make their own french fries and have lots of great dipping sauces.
Jalen’s recommendation: Sandwich Charal Merguez
Maria’s recommendation: Le Végé Burger
L’Istanbul
L’Istanbul is a Turkish restaurant with some of the best kebab in Reims. The portions are super filling for an unbelievably low price!
Jalen’s recommendation: Sandwich Mixte Poulet-Kebab
Maria’s recommendation: Tacos Falafels
231 East Street
231 East Street is a chain restaurant inspired by New York cuisine with a French spin. Their menu focuses on gourmet burgers and sweet desserts.
Jalen’s recommendation: Bacon Burger
Maria’s recommendation: Veggie Burger
La Mie Câline
La Mie Câline is a combination boulangerie, pâtisserie, and fast food spot with locations all over France. They do offer typical French food, but we personally love to get their iconic square cookies!
Jalen’s recommendation: Cookie carré trois chocolats
Maria’s recommendation: Cookie carré chocolat noir
